Yes, we're moving into 2012 and yes, we've got even more beads. These are increasing our Miyuki range of seed beads as replacements for Matsuno. Have you noticed something else increasing? We're getting that touch of extra daylight. It's inspiring Kathy to try new designs for spring and Easter!

So, back to the beads then... We've got sizes 6, 8 and 11 which are priced per pack of 25g and size 15 which are priced per pack of 15g.

Bead group gets ready for Christmas

Our Thursday night bead group enjoyed a special Christmas challenge this year. December 15th was the last meeting for 2011 and in place of the traditional gift for the Secret Santa, we could make and bring a beaded bauble. Here is our superb display of baubles, and everyone enjoyed the challenge. It was a great way to share our beading efforts with friends. This could be the start of a new Halfpenney tradition! What do you think?

Bead bandits - a brand new way to cover knots and crimps - Available in both silver plate and gold plate they are easy to use and give an attractive and professional finish to your beadwork. Can be used on wire up to .019 and 2.2mm crimps. Only £1.50 per pair.

What a great idea - 2 tools in 1.

We already stock a jump ring opener and a pair of split ring pliers. Now we have a tool that does both jobs! Basically a tweezer, it has one curved jaw to open split rings with the added bonus of a jump ring opener on the handle. At only £1.75 it's ideal to have in your tool box or take to workshops.

Changes to our seed bead range

We supply a large range of Miyuki beads. Size 15 seed beads, cubes in 3mm and 4mm, drops, triangles, as well as our ever-popular and always increasing range of Delica colours.

Over the next 12 months we will be increasing our range of Miyuki seed beads in sizes 6, 8 and 11. All these colours will include HM in the reference number and have Miyuki on the label. Three more colours have been added this month. They are bagged in 25g and available now from our web page.

Make your jewellery for new year's party

The last workshops for 2011 have been added. During the workshop you will be able to make a super pair of earrings and then you can take away the beads to make a matching set of bracelet and necklace. Dates are 7th and 17th December, so book your place now. Some places are also still available for the Christmas tree and snowflake workshops. See the workshops page for full details.

Thats it! Our crystals have now been bagged and look sensational. The picture does not do them justice!

We have 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm and lots of super colours. Many colours are available in all sizes.

Priced at just £2.50 per bag the 3mm and 4mm come in 50s and the 5mm and 6mm come in 25s.

New workshops now available

I have updated our website (www.halfpenney.co.uk) with 2 new workshop projects: Squares and Lattice. For just £15 per person you will create your own bracelet and learn a bead weaving stitch that will give you the starting point for so much more! So come and join us. Just give me a call on 01254 236049 to reserve your place.

There are still some places left on the workshop for the Spiral bracelet on 7th September and the Twister bracelet on 17th September.

Crystals are here!

They have finally arrived!

We have now got our crystal stock.

They come in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm. We have got over 110,000 crystals.

In between keeping 2 lively grandsons occupied, we are burning the midnight oil bagging and labelling them. When that is finished we then have to decide how to display them on the internet.

We have got about 40 colours in each size. They look lovely.

We will share these with you as soon as we can work out how best to do it!

If you can't wait you are welcome to come and see them - just give us a ring to make sure we are in before you visit.

Oh yes, don't forget it's our Bead Fair at Haydock Park Racecourse this Sunday from 10am - 4pm.

It should be a brilliant day. We are full with traders from all over the country, along with the Beadworkers Guild and our own bead groups doing the drop-in. Once again we will be having the free prize draw hampers, the contents of which are kindly donated by the traders.

News:
Not long now until our bead fair at Haydock Park - 31st July. We are fully booked and have a fantastic range of traders for you to visit. Some local, some from further afield. We like to have a mix and it gives a good variety of products. We have got our drop-in as usual and a new exhibition by Beadweaving-4-Fun and everyone will be happy to talk about what is on display. The Beadworkers Guild will also have a stand.

We are also busy promoting our new workshops. There are just 2 projects on the list at the minute, and to make them available to as many people as possible there are 6 sessions for each one and will be held during August and September. All are welcome and they are particularly suited to new beaders and each project will be completed during the workshop. More will be added soon.
