Christmas decorations with a difference

I'm pleased to see my 2nd tassel booklet on our website. It has 3 great Christmas tassels for you to make.
You can buy the booklet on its own for £8.95 or as a kit with all materials for £28.50.
If you have not got the Clover Tassel Maker yet, then you can get this with the kit as a bundle for just £36.50 - a saving £8.45 if you bought everything individually.

Your Christmas Parcels have arrived!

These cute little decorations are great to hang on the tree or adorn your festive table. Once you have got the hang of circular and tubular peyote (full instructions with diagrams are provided), then you will make them up in no time at all.

If you are new to the stitch I would recommend that you have a go at the Curly Top first as the contrast colour in the corners make the design easy to follow.

October's new clasps

We spotted some new clasps and I couldn't resist getting just a few.

The fluted clasps are a nice change from the plan variety and add that extra shine to the ends of your bracelet.

These vertical loops are so different and it means there are now more ways to close those wider bracelets when the normal horizontal loop clasps just won't do. They are available in different sizes and it's likely we will add some more of them to the range soon.

October's new seed beads

We have also added some more 8s, 11s and 15s to our Miyuki seed bead range. We get asked so often for different sizes of the same colour, we thought we would have a go and see what we could come up with. Bead embroidery workshop

Do you fancy making something special for Christmas this year and want to have a go at Bead Embroidery?

Manda Kent Burns, aka The Jacobeadery, has designed these lovely little stockings to make your advent calendar.

First seen at Haydock Park Bead Festival last week, I have asked Manda to join us for a workshop.

NBW Beading Day August 5th

We've had a couple of cancellations, so there are a few places left for our FREE beading day on 5th August. 10.30am - 4.00pm, here at The Beading Room. Refreshments provided during the day, but bring your own lunch if you're staying all day.

Free pattern now available

We had a great time at the Haydock Park Bead Festival yesterday. It was St George's Day, and so our free workshop was to make your very own flag - using herringbone weave.
As promised, the pattern is now available on the Free Stuff section of The (Virtual) Beading Room - www.virtual.halfpenney.co.uk.
It's not too late to make one now because it is also ideal for England's sporting fans too!

Deep Reflection pattern and kit now available

It was the depth of colour and reflection of this Swarovski stone that inspired the name of my latest design. The pendant suspends from a spiral rope, but can easily be adapted to make a brooch. The techniques explained are spiral rope, circular netting, and embellished netting.

A downloadable pattern is available from The (Virtual) Beading Room (£4.50) or you can buy a full kit from www.halfpenney.co.uk for either the Aquamarine or Rose pendants (£16.50 per kit). In the main shop, we also have other colours of stones available so you can create your own colour scheme.

New products - February 2017

Welcome to my first new product post for 2017. Guess what - it's mostly about Delicas! We will continue to increase our range and are always happy to include colours by request. Just let us know what you are searching for, and if we can get them, we will.

Our theme for 2017 is very much a continuation of our National Beading Week theme for 2016 - Beaded Tassels. The Clover Tassel Maker has been added to the accessories page and I hope to get the tassel threads and patterns online very soon.
